Brandy's Piano Bar

I love Brandy's. It's one of the places I've been missing most while in Boston. Ash and I used to walk down from our apartment, grab a drink, and wait for Bobby Belfry to sing Styx and Journey. If you've never been, go when Bobby Belfry is singing--he's amazing. (Though no one who sings there is bad, by any means.) Word to the wise--go way before the singing starts if you want to sit. The place is tiny, and gets packed very quickly.

This particular night we were back in NYC shortly after we moved to Boston, and just had to go for a drink. Before this song, he sang "Walkin' in Memphis." What are the odds?? (Memphis is Ash's hometown, and we both love that song.) We took it as a sign that this is officially our go-to bar in the big city--especially when Bobby Belfry is singing. :-)

PS- Drives me crazy when people go and try to yell their conversations over the singers. If you don't want to hear the singing, go someplace else!
