We knew we would be busy, and our little bundle of joy has been keeping us on our toes every minute! So much so, that we haven't even been able to post her arrival on our blog!
We couldn't be happier to introduce you to Sahana Shelly Pareek. She arrived on November 19, 2012, at 1:42 in the afternoon, and weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce with her 18.5 inch long frame. We never knew such an instant love existed until we met her.
We've been asked about the meaning of her name by many people. Sahana comes from Sanskrit, and means "melody" and "patience." Her middle name, Shelly, is her maternal grandmother's name.
The first two weeks were tough on everyone--Sahana wasn't gaining weight, Mom was still recovering, and Dad was exhausted. (Thank goodness Nani was here to keep watch over everyone!) However, things are starting to feel more normal now that Sahana is back to her birth weight, so we can relax a bit more.
Below are a few pictures from her first two weeks. We'll be sure to post more regularly--assuming our daughter cooperates. :-)
